A full range of solutions for the construction of industrial enterprises

The construction of new plants is a key link for industrial development, job creation and providing the market with the necessary products. This requires modern technologies, reliable partners who can supply equipment, implement energy-efficient technologies and attract financing. An example of the successful implementation of modern energy solutions is the hybrid solar power plant in Cuamba, Mozambique. This 20 MW project was aimed at ensuring a stable energy supply to the region and reducing CO₂ emissions. An important feature was the implementation of a lithium-ion energy storage system with a capacity of 1.86 MVA / 7.42 MWh, which made it possible to effectively stabilize the supply of electricity to the national grid. The project was implemented by a consortium of international investors and contractors, including the British power producer Globeleq, the Mauritian investor Source Capital and the Spanish engineering and construction company TSK Group, which was engaged in design, procurement and construction. The financing was provided by the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) and Viability Gap Funding (VGF). The total construction cost was US$36 million, and commissioning took place in September 2023. Over 25 years of operation, the power plant will help avoid the emission of more than 630,000 tons of CO₂, contributing to the environmental sustainability of the region. The "Renewal" Association is ready to implement similar projects in Ukraine. We offer support in attracting leading European contractors and investors for the construction and modernization of energy infrastructure. Such solutions will be a reliable step towards strengthening energy independence and developing regions, including Regional Territorial Communities and other interested structures.

An example of successful work is the construction of a sugar factory for Durrah Advanced Development Company in Saudi Arabia. The factory with a capacity of 2,500 tons of sugar per day, built in the industrial port of King Fahd, has become a significant contribution to the economy of the region and contributed to the creation of new jobs.

This project confirms the ability of Spanish enterprises that are members of the Association to provide comprehensive turnkey solutions - from the supply of equipment to the complete construction and launch of factories.

We offer similar solutions for Ukraine, ensuring the supply of enterprises of any complexity and finding financing for their successful construction in Ukraine.
One example of advanced engineering solutions is the supply of equipment for Gestamp Wind Steel USA from Crosby Airpes, a company specializing in the development of lifting, handling and weighing equipment for industry and wind energy. The project included the creation of an extendable electromagnetic beam and an automated guided vehicle (AGV), which ensured the safe and efficient transportation of steel sheets up to 16.76 m long. Advanced technologies, such as adjustable solenoids and an intelligent control system, improve the accuracy and safety of production processes.

Modern construction and industrial equipment plays a key role in the development and restoration of the regions of Ukraine. The Renewal Association offers the supply of such equipment and other construction solutions for the implementation of infrastructure projects, the modernization of production facilities and the improvement of the efficiency of industrial enterprises. We provide access to innovative technologies from leading European manufacturers, which opens up new opportunities for industry development and economic growth.

Restoration and modernization of utility networks is an important task for Ukraine, especially given the aging infrastructure and the need to improve energy efficiency. One of the companies in the association has experience in implementing such initiatives and is ready to apply its experience in Ukraine. The PRIE project (Proyecto de Rehabilitación de Instalaciones Eléctricas), implemented in Spain since 2009.
The project was initiated by the largest electrical engineering associations in Spain and is aimed at updating electrical networks in residential buildings, many of which have outdated and unsafe systems. Statistics show that faulty electrical installations cause more than 7,300 fires and 4,850 accidents in Spain every year, and the most vulnerable are children and the elderly.
PRIE not only promotes legislative initiatives for mandatory maintenance of electrical networks, but also promotes the introduction of modern energy-saving technologies. The project includes analytical studies that identify weaknesses in the existing infrastructure, as well as information campaigns that raise citizens' awareness of the importance of regular diagnostics and modernization of electrical systems.

Such initiatives are especially relevant for Ukraine. Most of the country's housing stock was built decades ago, and the electrical networks in many buildings no longer meet modern safety and energy efficiency requirements. The companies we represent have the necessary technologies to implement such projects in Ukraine. We offer comprehensive solutions for upgrading electrical networks, which will not only improve the safety of residential buildings, but will also reduce energy consumption, reduce the load on the country's energy system and create comfortable conditions for citizens.

Ukraine faces serious problems with the deterioration of utility networks, especially in the gas supply, water supply systems and electrical networks. Many communications are outdated for decades, which leads to accidents, leaks, interruptions in the supply of resources and, as a result, to additional costs for citizens and businesses.
The world has long used advanced technologies and materials to ensure the durability and reliability of utility networks. One example is the Matapal project, implemented by Tubacex for British Petroleum. Within the framework of the project, specialized pipeline systems for underwater gas production were developed and supplied, ensuring stable transmission of energy and chemical reagents necessary for the operation of equipment. Such solutions not only guarantee the smooth operation of complex engineering facilities, but also significantly reduce the risks of accidents and expensive repairs.
Ukraine requires modern solutions for the modernization of engineering infrastructure. The enterprises we represent have all the necessary experience, technologies and materials to implement such projects in our country. We can provide reliable equipment for:

Gas industry – modern pipeline systems that minimize leaks and increase the reliability of gas transportation.
Energy sector – equipment for safe and efficient distribution of electricity.
Construction and reconstruction – building materials necessary for the modernization of regional infrastructure.

Castilla y León has three cement plants that have invested more than €55 million in decarbonisation strategies over the last ten years. These investments were aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and included the following measures:

Increased energy efficiency: modernisation of equipment and optimisation of production processes have reduced energy consumption.

Use of alternative fuels: the plants have replaced part of their fossil fuels with alternatives, including biomass, which has helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions. On average, 46.2% of the fuel used in these plants is alternative, which is 6% higher than the Spanish average.

Waste recovery: since 2004, the plants have recycled more than 6 million tonnes of waste that would otherwise have ended up in landfills. In 2022 alone, 93,968 tonnes of waste were recovered using energy, preventing 129,929 tonnes of CO₂ from being released into the atmosphere.

Despite the progress made, full decarbonization of the cement industry requires the implementation of carbon capture, storage and utilisation (CCUS) technologies. These technologies are necessary to reduce the so-called “hard to eliminate” emissions that occur during the decarbonization of limestone during the production of clinker, the main component of cement. Without the implementation of CCUS, achieving climate neutrality in industries such as cement will be difficult.
In addition to environmental initiatives, the cement plants of Castile and Leon make a significant contribution to the local economy, providing more than 1,500 jobs and adding over 86 million euros in gross added value annually.
The Vidnovlennia Association aims to implement similar environmental and technological solutions in Ukraine. We are ready to attract leading European contractors and investors for the construction and modernization of enterprises, the implementation of energy-efficient technologies and the development of sustainable industry. Joint initiatives in this area will be an important step towards strengthening the country’s energy independence, reducing the impact on the environment and developing regions, including amalgamated territorial communities, regional administrations and other interested structures.

The use of advanced equipment from leading European manufacturers will allow Ukraine to minimize accidents, increase energy efficiency and significantly extend the service life of critical utility networks. The Renewal Association offers comprehensive solutions that will ensure the reliability and sustainability of infrastructure for many years. We create conditions for the effective renewal of the regions of Ukraine, introducing modern construction technologies and innovative engineering systems. Our goal is to make cities and towns comfortable, safe and energy efficient, and each project a model of quality, speed of implementation and reliability of financing.
