In August 2023, the Andalusian company Ghenova Ingeniería was selected to develop the technical support for the OnShore Power Supply (OPS) programme in the Port of Algeciras. This programme aims to provide electricity to ships from the shore network while they are moored, reducing emissions, noise and vibrations. The project covers the Isla Verde Interior, Príncipe Felipe and the first section of Dique Norte berths. Ghenova Ingeniería will be responsible for carrying out the feasibility study, developing the projects and technical specifications, and preparing the tender documentation for the implementation of these installations. The value of the technical support contract is 85,800 euros. The project is financed by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (NextGenerationEU). The client of the project is the Bahia Algeciras Port Authority (APBA). The implementation of the project will significantly improve the environmental situation in the port, in line with the decarbonization and sustainable development strategy adopted by APBA.

This work shows that the association’s participants have experience in implementing similar initiatives, which is currently the main focus in the restoration of Ukraine.

The Suvorovka Community has developed and approved by the resolution of the session of the Katlabuzka Village Council on 04.02.2025 another strategically important document for the development of the community – “Municipal Energy Plan of Suvorovka Village Territorial Community until 2030”. aimed at systematic implementation of energy efficient measures and projects to increase energy independence and comfort of residents. The development and implementation of this plan became possible thanks to the grant project “SOMBRILLA” supported by the Foundation “Regional Center for Economic Research and Business Support”.

During the conference, numerous negotiations were held to address the challenges of Ukraine’s recovery, with a particular focus on implementing projects related to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Members of the “Renewal” association, including the industrial enterprise “Energy Alliance,” the certification center “Standard-S,” the accredited testing center “Ukrpromsert,” and the industrial product certification body “Etalon,” won a tender to implement an environmental project in the Netherlands. The project, titled “Project: 03C0888 / ABC / Agro Building Carbon/ABC: quantifying carbon removal farm-sourced building materials,” focuses on quantifying carbon removal through the use of farm-sourced building materials.
